Ellie had her end of the year Daisy party the other night at Lampost Pizza. They don't get promoted since they'll remain Daisies thru first grade. But they received several of their patch petals which once they have them all will make a Daisy on their vests.
Luckily I am no longer the "leader", not that I really did much leading at all. I was waaay overwhelmed with the whole thing especially since I was taking my class to get my certificate and everything. So the co-leader took over for me and has done a fantastic job.
Logan also will be starting his 3rd year in Cub Scouts. Both programs and excellent and I highly recommend them to all of you once your kiddos are big enough. Cub Scouts don't start until 1st grade, but Girl Scouts starts in Kindergarten.

One of their favorite things is the petting zoo. They have tons of animals and they're all so nice and tame. A few favorites, bunnies, chicks, ducklings, baby pigs, baby goats, calves and miniature donkeys.
We went to Houston this weekend for a family reunion/fish fry. Stu's family has these usually at least once a year at his Mom's uncle's house in Cat Spring (near Sealy). It was a lot of fun. Good food, awesome weather and the kids got to swim again!

Unfortunately Memaw (Stu's grandma) isn't doing very well. She has COPD and we're really not sure how much longer she's going to hang on. All of Stu's grandparents are still living (I know, he's really lucky). I'm just glad that they've been able to get to know our kids as much as they have. We feel really blessed for that. Everyone just say a little prayer for her that she is not suffering and feels at peace with what seems to be inevitable.

They have a part called the Faerie Wood. It's just a trail through a nicely wooded area. But all around they have little fairies and pretty little birdhouses and all kinds of things. They tell the kids to see how many they can find while they're walking. 
This one was my favorite. Doesn't she look peaceful and serene. I need to try and get a little of that feeling in my hectic day!!!
This was the entryway. A long tunnel covered in vines. It looked like they had frozen in the winter, but were growing back to cover it nicely once again.
